Jewish Family Services helps people alleviate suffering and address their challenges. Our Outreach, Home Support and Counselling services support people during times of adversity, guiding them through their troubles with compassion and commitment.

We envision a world of economic and social justice, where individuals, families and communities care for and support themselves and one another. We achieve this vision through a commitment to our core values and by serving the greater Edmonton community, while ensuring the social wellness needs of the Edmonton Jewish Community are met.

JFS Edmonton’s ethos is based upon the Hebrew belief of Tikkun Olam, which loosely translates to “heal the world.” Since our genesis in the 1950s, JFS has been acting as a soft place to land for anyone in need, but in order to provide this support to vulnerable members of our community, we need your assistance.

Your donation could help:

• a young teenager suffering from acute anxiety that requires weekly counselling

• a traumatized Canadian newcomer in need of assistance navigating social supports

• a heartbroken widower requiring grief and loss support

• a family suffering job loss and food insecurity

Tribute cards are a way of memorializing a special event or the passing of a loved one, and making an impact in the community. When you donate, you will receive a tax-creditable receipt, and we will send a personalized card in your name to the person you chose.
