The John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights envisions a world that manifests a culture of peace and human rights in which the dignity of every person is respected, valued and celebrated. Our mission is to advance a culture of peace and human rights through education and community building guided by the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Our current work revolves around four strategic priorities:
- Engaging Children and Youth: Provide education on peace-building and human rights to children and youth.
- Fostering Adult Learning and Education: Facilitate learning and dialogue within the community on peace and human rights.
- Building Human Rights Communities: Strengthen capacities and networks to build human rights communities.
- Operationalizing Human Rights: nurture the implementation and advancement of human rights within government, businesses and organizations.
