Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre is an Oakville barn gallery and 1827 house and studio, situate on a 12 acre, 20,000 year old valley. It is a cheerful and welcoming sanctuary from urban life where those who love art and nature come together to create, learn and grow.The Centre serves the community as a place of gatherings—from creative media workshops, films, musical events, and lectures to weddings. The Centre serves as a place where individuals meet to learn, collaborate, and cultivate relationships with one another. This cultural facility promotes local heritage, outreach, art, wellness and accessibility, with ecological integrity being central to the activities of the Centre. The gallery also houses a private library museum that contains the Amice Calverley collection and the David Horne architecture library. The unusual collection of books is available as a research centre and web reference library.
