Located in Spryfield NS, The Jost Mission Day Care Society operates the Edward Jost Children’s Centres, Nova Scotia’s oldest childcare facility. Since 1910, it has been our mission to make quality childcare accessible to all families in our community. Dating back to 1865 and originally situated on Brunswick Street in Halifax, EJCC has grown to encompass three highly-inclusive, licensed, non-profit day care facilities that provide care to over 200 children aged five months through five years. On an ongoing basis, approximately 15-20% of the children enrolled in our programs have a physical or developmental circumstance that may preclude them from attending other daycares. EJCC staff and families work closely with the IWK, APSEA, NSECDIS, NS Hearing & Speech, and other medical and professional services.

As a non-profit organization, EJCC relies on fundraising events and the generosity of donors to meet our goals.
