Justice Education Society (JES)

about

Justice Education Society of BC (JES) has spent over 35 years ensuring that every British Columbian can understand and access the justice system. We believe the rule of law only works when people know their rights and can navigate the system, regardless of income, background, or geography.

Last year, JES reached 538,400 British Columbians through 12 free digital legal resources, answered nearly 10,000 legal inquiries through AskJES, brought over 10,000 students into real courtrooms, delivered legal education to over 1,450 Indigenous community members across the province, and ran Camp Justice, a summer program giving youth ages 14-19 hands-on experience with the justice system.

We serve people facing family breakdown without a lawyer, Indigenous youth navigating contact with police, and young people who have never set foot in a courtroom. Your donation funds BC programs and bursaries for youth who could not otherwise attend Camp Justice, making the rule of law real, not just on paper.
