Supporting education and community development in Juving village, Nepal
The Juving Nepal Development Society, a registered Canadian charity, aims to improve the standard of living in Juving 6, a mountainous region with a subsistence economy in rural Nepal.
In 2009, in partnership with the people of Juving, we began providing funds to build a six-room school. For several years now, this beautiful school has provided education up to grade five for 80 children. Other initiatives since the school was completed have included purchasing two classroom computers, supplying the children with warm clothing to wear to school, and paying the teachers' salaries (beyond one government - funded teacher).
Because of these efforts, in just a few short years education has effectively become universal in Juving 6. We invite you to join us in making a difference for this community.
