The Kaatza Station Museum, located in an original 1913 E & N Railway station in the heart of the beautiful Cowichan Valley is dedicated to the preservation of the history of the Cowichan Lake area with a special emphasis on the industries and pioneers who developed the area. We have several notable collections, including:
- the Wilmer Gold Photographic Collection (1,000 + high resolution images)
- the complete IWA archive (1930 – 2004)
- the Railway collection (1927 Shay locomotive & rolling stock)
- the Logging Equipment collection
Our archives are an invaluable resource for research into the history of one of Canada’s pre-eminent logging communites.
