K’aayil Foundation is a grassroots charity blending music, culture, and purpose to empower students in Yucatán, Mexico.

Rooted in the meaning of our name - K’aayil”, which means song in Mayan - we believe every young person deserves the chance to write their own future. 

​​We are committed to empowering low-income students in Yucatán, Mexico by providing opportunities that ensure access to quality education - making education a right and not a privilege. We believe education is the key to breaking cycles of poverty and creating lasting change. Through innovative events, local partnerships, and creative fundraising, K'aayil makes giving back impactful and culturally connected supporting the next generations accessibility to quality education and life-changing opportunities.As the needs of youth in communities all over Yucatán, we shift our resources to go to the areas of highest need at the time. At this time in the year, there is a high demand for children in school to have access to programs that enable them to be successful in their academic and personal growth. Our goal is not only to get these children into schools, but to ensure they are continuously supported throughout their time in school and have resources to enable them to stay in school. Therefore, programs like tutoring, after school sports and workshops on spotting abuse all contribute highly to breaking cycles and creating lasting change for each and every youth.
