About KAMLOOPS FAMILY RESOURCES SOCIETY
Kamloops Family Resources Society's Family Tree Family Centre provides a warm inviting atmosphere for families to access on site services and referrals.
During our drop in program families are able socialize with each other, enjoy a healthy meal, do a craft or join circle time with their children. They have access to our large donation room and are able to meet with an infant development consultant and a counselor (provided in collaboration with professional agencies in Kamloops).
Other programs offered during our drop in include: parenting classes, anger management classes, our Mothers for Recovery Support Group and Mentorship Program and the 16 steps to empowerment group.
Our families needs vary but most often we are working with young single mothers (and their children) who are living in poverty and who have experienced isolation, violence, addictions and/or mental health issues. We strive to provide an environment in which these families become empowered.
