Kanatahkwèn:ke is the culmination of a decade-long collaboration between the Kanien’kehá:ka Onkwawén:na Raotitióhkwa Language and Cultural Center (KORLCC), Turtle Island Theatre, Kahnawà:ke Tourism, and the Mohawk Council of Kahnawà:ke. It embodies the rich culture, resilience, and creativity of the Kanien’kehá:ka people while advancing a shared vision for cultural preservation and artistic expression.
The new building will be home to the state-of-the-art Kahnawà:ke Museum and will continue to host exhibitions, language revitalization programs, cultural workshops, youth arts initiatives, and live performances in a modern theater.
