First organized in 2007, our group is now incorporated under the Ontario Historical Society. Our purpose is to preserve and share the history of our area. We are collecting and organizing stories, documents, photos and small artifacts in order to make them available to historians and the public. Everyone is welcome to come out and share memories, information, and anecdotes. Each month there is a subject to begin the discussions, and sometimes a speaker with knowledge of a local topic. Besides our monthly meetings, we hold open houses in connection with other community events. Come out and enjoy the lively conversations; learn more about our history and help preserve our heritage.
