The Kawartha-Haliburton Crime Stoppers (KH Crime Stoppers) program opened their doors in 1989, and over the years has maintained the original principle of helping law enforcement agencies solve crimes and make communities safe.KH Crime Stoppers is a partnership between the community, the Ontario Provincial Police, Kawartha Lakes Police Service and the media. It provides members of the public the opportunity to anonymously provide information which assists police in solving crimes.KH Crime Stoppers is run by a volunteer board of directors. We do not receive any government funding. The funds required to operate our program, develop community awareness campaigns and complete community safety programs are raised through donations.
