Our mission is to meaningfully engage with past, present, and people to create a place of connection and wonder for all.

The Kilby Heritage Society (previously known as the Fraser Heritage Society) was founded in 1999 to facilitate the continued operation and success of the Kilby Historic Site which includes the 1906 Kilby General Store Museum, café, demonstration farm, 17 acres of agricultural land, a 41-site campground, boat launch, and a public beach in Harrison Mills, BC. We are a charitable, community-based non-profit organization.
Our mission is to meaningfully engage with past, present, and people to create a place of connection and wonder for all. Because of our drive to do our absolute best for all our guests, we offer exceptional educational programming, visitor services, historical interpretation, collections management, scrumptious food, and a very healthy family of much-loved farm animals. We could not do this work without you! Your donation helps enrich lives, inspire a sense of wonder, and deepens our understanding of British Columbia’s heritage.
We are one of eight Provincial Heritage Properties, which, while a huge honour, only comes with core funding to cover about 15% of our operating costs. The rest comes from grants, admissions, campground fees, and donations! Your donation will go directly to supporting educational programming, preserving historic buildings and collections, and sustaining local jobs.
Every little bit makes a difference, so feel great about giving what you can!All donations of $25 and over are eligible for a tax receipt.
