KL&S serves Kingston & Napanee, ON areas with literacy programs for adults and families, and language instruction for new Canadians.
Since 1977, KL&S has been empowering lives through literacy and language.
Kingston Literacy & Skills is a non-profit community agency offering free literacy and language training for adults in Kingston, Ontario, and the surrounding communities. KL&S is also the home of WordLabs--a space for writers of all ages and stages to engage in literary arts through workshops and events.
We welcome every learner and provide the highest quality of education and support to help learners meet their goals through personalized instruction in English language, reading, writing, math, computers, and job skills.
KL&S offers a modern and supportive environment, and we provide financial assistance for transportation, childcare, and assistive technology for learners who qualify.
More than 15,000 adults over more than 48 years have found success through KL&S. We have two locations to serve our community with day and evening hours. Online and in-person instruction is available. Our facilities are accessible and welcoming.
