The Kingston Arts Council provides strategic leadership and services for the arts - as funder, champion, advocate, expert, and resource - in Kingston and surrounding area.
The Kingston Arts Council aims to strengthen arts and culture in the community and facilitate opportunities to experience the arts as a creator, viewer, participant, and/or supporter.
About the Kingston Arts Council
The Kingston Arts Council (KAC) is the region's primary resource for arts information and support. The KAC administers key funding programs, the City of Kingston Arts Fund (CKAF) and the Nan Yeomans Grant for Artistic Development. In addition, we support the artistic growth and development of artists and arts organizations through arts activism, professional development opportunities, accessible arts activities and initiatives, and communications.
Introducing the KAC's new Strategic Plan 2016-18: Building a Creative Community
In November 2015, the KAC conducted consultations with more than 100 community members to identify pivotal issues and foster engagement and dialogue around the role of the KAC. The result is a three-year strategic plan and a redefined vision of the KAC that responds to the emerging needs of the Kingston arts community. Read our Strategic Plan here.
