We are a group of amateur and semi-profession musicians who play orchestral music for the love of it and to provide affordable concerts.
Welcome to the Kitchener-Waterloo Community Orchestra's donation page. The KWCO is dedicated to providing an environment for amateur musicians to rehearse and perform orchestral music for the community. By creating a place to play music and improve musicianship for all levels of musicians, the KWCO provides a welcoming, enriching musical experience. We serve the community by providing an accessible source of live orchestral music performance.
We want to be around for years to come so that we can present beautiful music to our community, provide an outlet for amateur musicians, and also support our local youth through the continued offering of free tickets to our concerts and exposure to music that lifts the soul.
Our costs have gone up dramatically, and ticket prices and membership dues do not begin to cover the costs of hiring our conductor, concertmaster, and section leaders, who are vital to the orchestra's success. We need to rely on donations to make up the difference.
