Kootenay Career Development Society (KCDS) is a nonprofit employment services organization that strengthens communities by helping people build skills, overcome barriers, and find meaningful work. While many of our programs are funded through contracts with the government and other funders, there are people with urgent needs that fall outside those programs' strict eligibility rules.

That’s why we created the KCDS Bridge Fund – a donor-supported initiative that lets us step in when traditional funding falls short, bridging gaps quickly so individuals and families don’t fall through the cracks. Sometimes, the only thing standing between someone and a job is a bus pass, work boots, new eyeglasses, or ID, and the KCDS Bridge Fund helps us say yes to covering these essential costs.
