KERPA - Saving lives, helping the most critically ill & injured patients and supporting the emergency services in the Kootenay Region, B.C
The Kootenay Emergency Response Physicians Association (KERPA) is a Canadian registered charity founded in 2016. Our mission is simple but vital: to save lives and help the most critically ill and injured patients in our community.
KERPA equips and supports a team of highly trained volunteer Emergency Response Physicians who respond to the most serious 911 calls across the Kootenay region of British Columbia. Working in close coordination with local Emergency Services, our physicians bring critical emergency care directly to the scene—whether that’s a motor vehicle collision, rural trauma, or a complex medical emergency.
By delivering on-scene physician care, we help stabilize patients earlier, support frontline responders, and bridge the gap between rural emergencies and hospital-based care. KERPA is committed to help save lives and ensures the best possible outcomes for patients when every second counts.
