Kw’umut Lelum Foundation is the first Indigenous owned and led community foundation in British Columbia.
We work directly with nine Coast Salish Nations to build on the strength and capacity of Indigenous children, youth and families. Gifts to Kw’umut Lelum Foundation are invested to foster deep connections to culture while expanding access to education, work, and wellness.
We create an ecosystem of equity – developing pathways of opportunity through community generated ideas.
Our philanthropy is rooted in Snuw’uy’ulh (pronounced snu-why-uth), teachings from our loved ones and Elders, and activated through the 6Rs of Indigenous philanthropy: respect, relevance, relationships, responsibility, reciprocity, and redistribution.
Snuw’uy’ulh for Success is a uniquely Coast Salish approach to philanthropy that recognizes culture as the life force, positively influencing well-being and self-worth, to empower and inspire our capacity to live a good life.
