La Bouchée généreuse is a non profit organization that contributes to improving the living condition by meeting the needs of the population in need of Quebec City and its surrounding areas. Our clientele is very diverse; person with a disability, unemployed, single-parent home, newcomer, veteran, elderly person or person going through a difficult time in their life.

Our services are; weekly food distribution (to more than 1,000 families), a food basket delivery service for those aged 70 and over, a clothing and household goods counter, a community grocery store, a francization    and integration service by volunteering, a starting kit service, a social reinsertion, progressive return to work service, the distribution of winter clothes to children (collaboration with KIWANIS), various annual activities and unconditional listening to all. The organization works to create a community of support and collaboration.

Our motto is mutual assistance without question or condition. It’s hard enough to ask for help. So we help without judgment. You need help, we are here.

This donation will significantly help us in our mission to combat poverty and hunger. In a country as rich as Canada, no child should go to school on an empty stomach. In Canada, more than 34% of food bank beneficiaries are children.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, La Bouchée généreuse is able to feed more than 1,000 families in Quebec City every week. That’s more than 3,000 bellies filled. Of which around 1,100 are those of children. To be able to fill all these bellies, the trucks are on the road 7 days a week, but unfortunately this is no longer enough.  We must regularly purchase healthy food to complete the food distribution baskets.

It is thanks to your donations that it is possible to buy vegetables, pay for the maintenance of trucks and ensure that no family requesting help is refused.
