La Maison d’Aurore is a community organisation located in the heart of Plateau Mont-Royal since 1976. Its mission is to welcome, bring together and accompany the people of Plateau Mont-Royal in order to improve their living conditions and their environment. 

As a provider of mutual aid and social ties since 1976, la Maison d’Aurore acts broadly in programs of health and education, individual support, citizen action, elderly networking, school perseverance and family support, food and urban agriculture. La Maison d’Aurore is a volunteer meeting place which allows citizens of all socio-economic statuses to get involved in their community and to feel useful.

La Maison d’Aurore works in collaboration with all the players in the community for the benefit of all, but it is primarily a living environment where more than a hundred people from all socio-economic backgrounds contribute and flourish.

General Objectives:

• Breaking isolation by offering a meeting place, access to information and sense of community
• Promoting autonomy and dignity 
• Enabling collective support systems to address needs, notably for staying in the neighborhood.
• Acting in alignment with community stakeholders for the common good
• Creating a community through mutual aid and solidarity
