The hub will house the project’s four founding organizations: Familles en action, a family community centre; Madame Prend Congé, a women’s centre; the Regroupement Information Logement, housing advocacy group; and the Club populaire des consommateurs, a food security organization.
In line with the principles of sustainable development and neighbourhood-wide goals to increase community resiliency in the face of climate change, PMSL will be built to the highest standards of energy efficiency and low-carbon impact and will seek Zero Carbon Building certification with the Canada Green Building Council. With accessibility as another guiding principle, PMSL will also be built to a high standard of universal accessibility.
