About the LC-KFLA
Protecting one of the most amazingly diverse and still-wild regions of southern Ontario
The region stretches from the islands in Lake Ontario through the limestone plains to the boreal forests in Canadian Shield country to the north. It includes part of the UNESCO-designated Frontenac Arch Biosphere Reserve and the Algonquin to Adirondack conservation focus area.
Committed to preserving vital habitat for species survival
The Land Conservancy has no paid staff. It is run entirely by volunteers who are striving to create a continuous corridor of protected lands in the region, with a focus on the land between Frontenac Provincial Park and Puzzle Lake Provincial Park.
