Do You Match? TLFCS Does.

Do You Match?!? The Township of Langley Firefighter's Charitable Society does...and from now until May 31, 2023, they will match your individual donations to the Langley Hospice Foundation and DOUBLE your impact, up to a total of $10,000.00.

The last few years have been difficult for many, particularly those who’ve experienced the death of a significant person in their lives. Throughout the height of the pandemic, the palliative and bereavement support services we provide through our Supportive Program Centre in Langley, looked different, but our team was able to maneuver quickly and continue to offer support to those in need.  We were able to: connect online and by phone; increase one-to-one support options in response to the fear of meeting in groups; and focus on outreach in a variety of ways; and provide group peer support programs, and workshops via Zoom, and as things improved, we moved to safe, outdoor spaces in small groups.

Despite the continued access, and growing numbers of clients, with the often-changing restrictions, and growing fear, many waited to access support, and the isolation they were experiencing made it all the more challenging. The need for support and outreach services has increased significantly.  The Langley Hospice Society needs your help to ensure that we can continue to manage our growing waitlists for grief support programs and services as the demands continue to grow.

Our goal this year is to raise the funds necessary to continue to provide client centred and responsive grief support programs and services for the children, teens, adults and families we serve, and to add an additional bereavement support worker to our Langley Hospice Society Team. The Township of Langley Firefighters Charitable Society (TLFCS) wants to help us achieve this goal.

And YOU can help - we hope you will consider making a donation to help the Langley Hospice Society ensure that the children, teens, adults and families who are grieving, continue to be able to access the bereavement care and support they need, close to home, and free of charge.
