Help the Langley Hospice Society make their New House ~ a Home...
For more than thirty-five years, the Langley Hospice Society has been committed to providing quality palliative and bereavement care and support to our growing community, always with a goal of a permanent hospice residence to ensure that these services are available to loved ones and their families when they need it most. We invite you to help us make this a reality for our community.
Langley Hospice Society began construction on the New 15-bed Langley Hospice Residence on August 7th, 2020, which has been made possible through the generous funding received from the Province of British Columbia through grants from the Investment in Housing Innovation Initiative and Fraser Health, and additional support through private donations and grants through the Township of Langley, and the BC Centre for Palliative Care.
There are exciting days ahead as we see the new residence become a reality, but we're not done yet - the Langley Hospice Societyneeds additional support from the community and folks like you, to help us raise the additional $1,000,000 necessary to help furnish, outfit and begin operations of the new hospice residence, and truly make our new house - a home for all who enter its doors.
Here's How YOU Can Help:
- Make a one-time gift
- Set up a monthly gift
- Pledge a larger amount with annual gifts over a multi-year period
- Sponsor a specific piece of furniture or equipment for the residence
- Sponsor a specific room or space
The end of life journey is not just about dying, it's about living well, right to the end. Caring for people at the end of life means enabling them to live out their final days as they wish, surrounded by those they love, and helping them reflect on the life that they've lived. The hospice philosophy speaks to the importance of a home like environment to ensure support for individuals, their family and friends as they face this final journey. Please consider making a gift to help Langley Hospice Society make our new house ~ a home.
