Overview

The Langley Hospice Society & Langley Lodge's Annual Butterfly Release, is hosted by Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery, located at 6179 – 248th Street in Langley on Saturday, August 10th, 2019. This annual fundraising event attracts hundreds of guests who participate in this poignant celebration in the beautiful gardens onsite. Butterflies are released by all ages, in honor of loved ones, in celebration, and in memory - all in support of a great cause.  

The event is open to the public,& happens between 12:30pm & 3pm at Krause Berry farms.  Please arrive early, as the event is well attended, & parking will take some time.  The Butterfly Release will happen promptly at 1:30pm, & will see 500 Painted Lady Butterflies take flight for the first time amongst the beautiful gardens on the grounds. 

With limited #’s of butterflies available, pre-ordering is recommended for those who want to participate in the actual release.  Butterflies can be pre-ordered online at www.langleyhospice.com/butterflyrelease or by phone: 604.530.1115 for $25.00 each, & only limited butterflies will be available onsite at Krause Berry Farms on event day beginning at 11am on a first come, first serve basis.

In addition to the spectacular butterflies in flight, this fun & inspirational event will see entertainment, children’s crafts & activities, face painting, live music & everything else that Krause Berry Farms has to offer with their wine tasting room, waffle bar, café & market place – there is really something for everyone!!

The Langley Hospice Society and the Langley Lodge invite the community to join them for their Annual Butterfly Release on Saturday, August 10th, 2019 at the popular Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery, located at 6179 – 248th Street in Langley. 

The event is open to the public and will be hosted onsite at Krause Berry Farms between 12:30pm and 3pm.  Please arrive early, as the Butterfly Release will happen promptly at 1:30pm.  Please note:  Krause Berry Farms & Estate Winery will be open for their regular hours and so you can come early and and stay later to enjoy all they have to offer.

This is an annual fundraising event, made possible by generous support from Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery, and other community support from RE/MAX Treeland Realty, Prospera Credit Union and Flutterbuys. 

Funds raised will benefit two important Langley organizations, the Langley Hospice Society (www.langleyhospice.com ), who provide palliative and bereavement care and support to the children, teens adults and families they serve and the Langley Care Foundation, that enriches the lives of the elderly served by the Langley Lodge (www.langleylodge.org).

The Langley Hospice Society is a community-based not-for-profit organization established in 1983. We are committed to providing emotional, practical and social support for people who are living with terminal illness, and their family and friends, throughout the last stages of illness, at the time of death, and during bereavement. In addition to palliative care and support through the hospice residence and in the community, the Langley Hospice Society provides anticipatory, early and ongoing, individual and group grief support programs for children, teens, adults and families; education; advocacy; community outreach; specialized volunteer training and support, day camp and summer camp programs, all FREE of charge to the community we serve.
