Our Mission
The Last Resort Society promotes health and the prevention of illness to the residents of Lasqueti and surrounding islands. The society's vision is to provide health services, programs and education that result in a locally run, integrated health care system on island.
About LASQUETI LAST RESORT SOCIETY
We are in the midst of a capital campaign to build the Judith Fisher Health Centre - Phase I. We’re already almost 1/2 the way toward achieving our goal of $724,000! The Judith Fisher Centre will bridge Lasqueti residents’ health challenges in three areas of care. Phase I is our health centre, in a permanent location from which the nurse and other health practitioners will provide services. Secondly, this facility will also house an area for respite. This is for island residents who are temporarily unable to care for themselves and need some support during recuperation. In Phase II the society will establish a housing project for independent seniors and those with temporary health needs.
