Latcham Art Centre inspires the community to engage with visual art through exhibitions of contemporary art that reflects a range of artistic media and the cultural diversity of our province, and through education programs including classes, workshops, artist talks and tours.

About Latcham Art Centre

Latcham Art Centre, established in 1979 as The Latcham Gallery, is Stouffville's free public art gallery. Latcham Art Centre hosts 5-6 curated exhibitions each year. Additionally, the Art Centre annually hosts a juried exhibition, an exhibition of work by a local graduating high school art class, and an exhibition of work by art students from local elementary schools.

Exhibitions are complemented with educational and public programs including school visits, public lectures, art workshops, classes and tours led by the curator, art educators and exhibiting artists. Latcham Art Centre prides itself on inclusion and as a result, offers many free programs throughout the year, including weekly art events for all ages from September to May.

New Look. New Home. Same Passion.

On August 23, 2018, we opened the doors to our new home at 2 Park Drive (inside the Whitchurch-Stouffville Leisure Centre) with our new name: Latcham Art Centre. We are excited to continue to offer the same passion and dedication to offering opportunities to experience art and express creativity, with a vision to grow.
