Le Garde-Manger Pour Tous is a social enterprise that has been actively involved in its community since 1985. The organization was born out of the desire to act to alleviate hunger and promote autonomy in the South-West region of Montreal.
Le Garde-Manger Pour Tous offers more than 3,000 hot and balanced lunches every day of the school calendar to elementary school students in 30 schools, 23 of which are from disadvantaged backgrounds. The Garde-Manger Pour Tous thus contributes to eliminating undernourishment among many children at a time when their nutritional needs have a crucial impact on their development.
The nature of its activities also includes the annual distribution of 200,000 kg of food to some fifteen community organizations. In addition, thanks to several social and professional integration programs, the Garde-Manger Pour Tous encourages the autonomy of adults in precarious situations.
