Le Groupe d’entraide maternelle de La Petite Patrie was born in 1986 on the initiative of mothers and caregivers with the well-being of families in the neighborhood at heart. It is then defined as a community organization whose mission Family welcome, enrich and enhance the parenting experience.
GEM, such as is called, aims to break the isolation, to support parents (specifically mothers) in their role by providing a meeting place of healing and mutual support. Although its activities are mainly for mothers and their young children, we care about the well-being of all family members.
As a community organization Family, GEM shares the vision that parents have the primary responsibility for their children and should be closely involved in all activities aimed at the development and improvement of living conditions of these.
