Our Mission
Le Pignon Bleu is a non profit organisation which goal is to help families from downtown Quebec city. The organisation offers a broad spectrum of services related to nourishment, socio-educational development and employment opportunities for low-income families.
About LE PIGNON BLEU
The Pignon Bleu innovates by setting up a range of services related to children’s and families’ nutrition by offering educational activities to children and their parents and by developing formation measures and employment insertion for adults.
Children of 6 to 12 years old can participate in various socio-educational programs such as noon activities, homework workshops at the end of the day and socio-cultural activities of exploration during school holidays.
Adults also attend the Pignon Bleu to learn and develop their competencies. Since its beginning, the Pignon Bleu offers a work experience to people unemployed by integrating them to its food production activities. Over the last few years, the Pignon Bleu has set up a formation program of institutional kitchen cooking adapted to the realities of the local labour market.
The Pignon Bleu, a warm and welcoming place where children grow with their parents, and parents with their children !
