Feeding Families in need!
Le Pont Bridging Food Bank was started in 1996 by Carol Laws when a local Hudson family's father lost his job and needed help to feed his family of five, over a 6-week period. Since there was not a local area food bank at that time, Carol helped out and thus created Le Pont Bridging Food Bank. Last year we made 354 deliveries to feed 733 people.
The population of Hudson-Saint-Lazare is approximately 25,000. It may come as a surprise to some that these relatively affluent communities would need the services of a food bank but when incomes suddenly disappear due to job losses or health crisis, the need real and urgent.
