Our mission
Le Sac à dos (Backpack) is an open and inclusive place to help people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. It offers a range of services, from the most essential to those aimed at active reintegration. Le Sac à dos thus helps each individual find their place in the community.
About us
Our non-profit organization offers essential services to people experiencing homelessness, such as storage lockers for their personal effects (backpack), meals, postal boxes to receive their social assistance checks. Showers and washing machines are available. We offer employment assistance programs adapted to the realities of street people and we have our own project for social reintegration through work with the "Green Brigade" responsible for cleaning certain sectors of the city as well as spaces belonging to to private companies.
Finally, Sac à dos currently offers 73 permanent, new and furnished accommodations to homeless people who have successfully completed their reintegration process.
