Le Théâtre de la Vieille 17 is a creation-driven theatre company rooted in Francophone Ontario and open to the world, a meeting place where youth theatre and general audience theatre coexist in close collaboration.

The Théâtre de la Vieille 17 is at a pivotal moment:

Only one element is missing: the resources to fully bring them to life.

Giving now means contributing directly to this transformation.

With the goal of contributing to the vitality and growth of the regional theatre community, the Board of Directors of Le Théâtre de la Vieille 17 established an Artist Support Fund in 2021–2022. This fund includes two streams designed to support artistic projects and provide assistance to artists.

Stream 1 – RÉVERBÈRE Creation Grant 💡

The RÉVERBÈRE Creation Grant, valued at $8,000, supports a theatre project that promotes cultural diversity, gender equality, social justice, and accessibility.

Projects may be in the research, development, or production phase. They must be led by an artist, an ad hoc group, a collective, or a project-based or small-scale company from the Ottawa-Gatineau region, and may be intended for either young audiences or adult audiences.

Stream 2 – Support Fund 🛟

La Vieille 17 believes in the importance of creating flexible working environments that accommodate diverse needs.

In a spirit of equity and work-life balance, this stream provides financial assistance to members of artistic and technical teams who are parents, caregivers, or who have specific needs, in order to help cover certain expenses incurred during their contract with the company.
