Leduc Hub Association is 100% operated by volunteers and 100% funded by donations.
Our mission:To strengthen community by connecting people to support services and knowledge and provide needed resources in a supportive, non-judgemental atmosphere. We strive to fill in the gaps in financial supports and services available elsewhere. Through referrals from government agencies (municipal and provincial) and the church community, as funds will allow, we will provide a one-time only "hand up" with critically overdue rents and utilities. Persons provided these supports are expected to lend volunteer support when asked and seek financial counselling.
We are advocates for the HOMELESS in our community, providing care kits, clothing, food, meal cards and quilts to those in need. Our "Operation Night Angel" program provides short-term motel room stays, support information and connections to women victims of partner abuse.
Other services provided include but are not limited to: FOOD, FUEL CARDS, BUS TICKETS, MEDICAL COST SUPPORT, "Coats for Families" program, providing winter wear at no fee to families in need; Resume building and job searches; accommodation searches; supportive listening in a non-judgemental atmosphere.
