Directed by Andrew Gray since 2016, the choir was founded in 1956 with the mission of providing young orphans in Montreal with high-level academic and musical training.
Aged eight to seventeen, the 200 boys in the choir today come from diverse social and cultural backgrounds and share a real passion for singing. Their repertoire ranges from Gregorian chant to contemporary choral works.
Over the course of a year, the Petits Chanteurs du Mont-Royal accompany the liturgy at more than sixty masses at Saint-Joseph's Oratory and offer numerous concerts a cappella or with various ensembles such as l'Orchestre symphonique de Montréal, l'Orchestre Métropolitain, I Musici, L'Orchestre classique de Montréal.
