The Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line is a service provided for youth, by youth that affirms the experiences and aspirations of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, 2-spirited, queer and questioning youth in Ontario. We are queer-positive and non-judgmental, and provide confidential peer support through telephone listening, online chat, text, information and referral services, and through complementary outreach. By reflecting our diverse cultures, abilities and experiences and celebrating our potentials, we seek to create an empowering community of queer youth across Ontario.
About Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line
Since 1994, the Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line has been providing peer-support to LGBTQ youth in all of Ontario. The Youth Line was created by community members who recognized that there was a lack of support services for LGBTQ youth in dealing with the specific challenges that they face. Isolation and lack of information are tremendous barriers facing LGBTQ youth. The goal of the Youth Line is to provide information and accessible peer-support to alleviate isolation and letting youth know they are not alone.
