In the past few years, ARK Program has been offering free, summer program called TNBP 'The New Beginnings Program' for new-coming Canadian: kids,youth and adults. While TNBP was always organized at a physical location, covid-19 has caused us to move our program online. 

This summer has definitely been challenging for us as covid-19 has made a big impact in our funding. However, we still continue to work hard as the lives of Newcomers that need our help matter and challenging obstacles will not stop us from striving to our goals. We see and understand their struggles of immigrating to a new country can be and we want to make a difference. Learning a new language, difficulties finding employment, and not being able to use free services available as they may be unaware of what is available are all very prominent struggles newcomers go through. 

While TNBP is still running this summer, we would like to do more than just offer online help, we would like to assist the newcomers we work with directly by delivering covid-19 packages, back-to-school packages for the kids, and food-drives.
