The Lifesaving Society’s mission is to prevent drowning and water-related injury through training programs, Water Smart® public education, Swim to Survive® programs, drowning research, aquatic safety management and lifesaving sport.
We are a volunteer organization and registered charity. For more than 100 years, we have been a leader in teaching water safety and water rescue in Canada, and every year, 1.5 million Canadians participate in our swimming, lifesaving, lifeguard and leadership programs.
