Forest City London Music Awards is committed to supporting music education in London, Ontario. The Ken Palmer High School Music Bursary was established in 2014 to honour long-time London musician and educator, Ken Palmer. This bursary encourages young musicians graduating from high school, who have committed to pursuing music education at a post-secondary level in Ontario.
Forest City London Music Awards (fclma.ca) has partnered with LIFE*SPIN (lifespin.org), a local charity where Ken worked on a project to develop a business plan for a performing arts centre. LIFE*SPIN supports the empowerment of low-income Londoners towards self-sufficiency and provides numerous community-based programs to relieve poverty for London’s most disadvantaged.
