For over 100 years the Lily Lake Pavilion has been a special gathering place for the citizens of Saint John.
The Lily Lake Pavilion volunteer Board of Directors, the Pavilion staff and volunteers are committed to ensuring that the Pavilion remains a gathering place for years to come. Everyday special memories are made at the Pavilion from friends gathering for lunch, birthday parties, wedding proposals, children exploring around the lake and so much more.
The Pavilion is open to the public 363 days a year providing washroom and locker room facilities for people enjoying Rockwood Park. The operational needs of this 20,000 sq ft building are met with the revenue generated from the sales in Lily's Lakeside Casual Dining and the rental and catering services of the Wallace MacMurry licenced banquet room and the Canaport LNG board room. Day Tripping NB rents space to provide outdoor adventure and team building services. The Pavilion also houses the Frank and Ella Hatheway Labour Exhibit and the award winning Day of Mourning Memorial.
The Pavilion, a registered charity & non profit organization has an annual fundraising goal of $50,000. The Pavilion will host fundraisers to provide 5 major community programs:
~ MOVIES in the PARK - 9 weeks of free family oriented movies shown on the outdoor screen complete with complimentary popcorn and refreshments.
~SENIORS in the PARK - is held 3 times a year for an afternoon luncheon with fellowship, singing and dancing.
~ RECREATION Your Way in the PARK - is a one day event for persons with visible and invisible disabilities to enjoy recreational activities in Rockwood Park tailored to their specific needs.
~ AWESOME Adventures in the PARK - is an enrichment program for the summer camps of 5 community partners. Children enjoy a recreational and educational activity in Rockwood Park.
~ PALS in the PARK - is the largest program with 1700 students from 21 schools on 70 class trips into Rockwood Park for recreational and educational enrichment activities. This program is at no cost to student or school as even the cost of the transportation is covered.
As a registered charity and non-profit organization tax receipts will be issued for all donations.
