About LIMESTONE LEARNING FOUNDATION
Our vision is to inspire excellence in education by funding school and classroom initiatives that demonstrate creativity, innovation, empowerment, equity & inclusion. We want to ensure that an increasing range of educational opportunities will be available for all students, now and in the future. The Foundation funds projects with an emphasis on Mentorship, Sustainability and Pay-it-Forward.
− Mentorship: older students mentoring younger ones; community members mentoring students
− Sustainability: creative ways to ensure the project has long-term results
− Pay-it-Forward: building on ideas that can expand and grow into new learning possibilities
As a public, non-profit Foundation with charitable status, all gifts are completely tax deductible, in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.
The LLF was established by the Limestone District School Board in 1999 to enhance educational opportunities for students by raising money for projects and initiatives that could not otherwise be offered by the school board through its regular government funding.
