Founders:

-Veronica Dewar served as National President of Pauktuutit which is the National Inuit Women’s Association of Canada. Veronica has been, and continues to be, involved in many life changing projects that have helped to bring healing and strength to the people of the north. Some of the projects she has been involved in include: Suicide Prevention, Sexual Health (with its focus mainly on AIDS Prevention), FASD Prevention and Support, Residential Schools, and Economic self-sufficiency for Inuit Women. On several occasions Prime Minister Chrétien had sent her to the International World Summits for Indigenous Peoples as the Canadian representative and spokesperson. Veronica is very involved in her community and actively ministers to her people. She runs an interpreting and translating business. She has previously served as the President of Aglow in Rankin Inlet as well as a Board Member for both the Rankin Inlet Health Committee and the Manitoba Northern Unit Health Committee. Her heart is to see God’s Glory fill the North.

--For 45 years Pastor Wanda Fost has served in the leadership in National Ministries across Canada.  She is part of the leadership team for Watchemn for the Nations.  She presently serves as the National Prayer Director of Aglow International Canada and is the past Canadian National Director of Northern Canada.  Wanda has devoted her life to help men and women become restored, equipped, and empowered to reach their destiny. She has helped to develop support networks for the people of Northern Canada who have suffered abuse, rape, suicide, and alcohol and drug addiction. She travels extensively as a conference speaker both nationally and internationally. Wanda has walked with many people who have been impacted by abuse, cancer, suicide and depression and has bore witness to Christ’s ability to restore and heal. She is a faith builder, a joy giver and is passionate in her desire to touch a hurting world with God’s truth. She has a deep love for the North and believes they hold important keys to God’s heart for the Nations. She has also worked extensively with the Inuit in Nain, Labrador.
