LGC is a vibrant community of 100 auditioned singers from all backgrounds and with all levels of musical experience who love to sing.
Lions Gate Chorus delivers world-class a cappella music to its audiences and vocal education + opportunities for leadership experience to its members.
Lions Gate Chorus is Vancouver's largest Internationally acclaimed a cappella show choir boasting 95+ auditioned, dues-paying members singing 4-part barbershop harmony.
Under the direction of Master 700 director and sought-after vocal coach Sandy Marron, Lions Gate Chorus draws singers ages 19 - 80+ with widely diverse backgrounds, unique stories, and a love for education, personal growth, music and performance. Lions Gate Chorus welcomes all cis and trans women, as well as non-binary people who are comfortable in a space that centres on the experiences of women.
We are an integral part of our umbrella organization, Sweet Adelines International, whose vision is to have “Thriving choruses and quartets achieving musical excellence, empowered by inspirational leaders, building a community that harmonizes the world”. We embrace this vision and are committed to advancing the art form through education, competition and performance.
