Lions Gate Hospital Foundation
As the fundraising arm of Lions Gate Hospital, our role is to bridge the gap between what the government can provide and what our community needs.
Our goal is to enhance patient care. We do this by funding much-needed medical equipment, facility upgrades, staff education and research through donations from people like you.
In the last 10 years we have raised more than $200 million for Lions Gate Hospital.
Together we’re making a difference for our community.
In addition to the hospital, we also support all the publicly funded health care facilities on the North Shore, including: North Shore Hospice, Cedarview Lodge, Evergreen House, Kiwanis Care Centre, Margaret Fulton Adult Day Centre and West Vancouver Adult Day Centre.
North Shore Hospice & Palliative Project
The North Shore Hospice Society is the community based organization that promotes and supports palliative care programs and patients on Vancouver's North Shore.
The Society has recently teamed up with the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation to create The North Shore Hospice & Palliative Project. This collaboration will raise funds and awareness for hospice and palliative care in our community.
In particular, the new Hospice & Palliative Project will raise funds to expand and house the innovative "Every Day Counts" program. Donations can be made to the Project here .
Every Day Counts is a free program offered by the North Shore Hospice Society and Vancouver Coastal Health North Shore Palliative Care. This progressive and flexible program is specifically designed for patients facing serious illness and their families to realize the best quality of life. The services offered by Every Day Counts include guidance, well-being, and support.
The North Shore Hospice Society also provides public education, organizes community events and an annual community memorial service.
