LSAR currently uses Garmin GPSMAP62 GPSr. This is the base model for the 62 series. We are looking to upgrade our equipment to Garmin Map66sr. The 66 series will see an increase in internal memory, ALL models have an electronic compass and wifi and bluetooth connectivity. The 66st will have topo AND standard road navigable maps preloaded.
As our current technology gets older, we need to upgrade to more efficient technology. Each Garmin Map66sr GPS unit is $699.00 (plus tax = $790.00). We would like to obtain 5 of these prior to the end of the 2024 year.
