An inclusive early education program for children 3 to 5 years old supporting their early learning through play, family and community.
Thank you for your interest in supporting our school and helping us educate children in our community. It’s our pleasure to introduce you to LCDS Preschool & Kindergarten (Londonderry Child Development Society).
Since 1972, LCDS has been providing an excellent early education program, helping children in our community get a strong start for lifelong success. We focus on all areas of development, offering individualized attention as needed.
Nearly one in three children face challenges in early development when entering school. Research shows that addressing these challenges early in preschool and kindergarten can greatly influence a child’s ongoing success in school and throughout life.
Our dedicated team includes:
Certified B.Ed. Early Education TeachersFull-time Educational AssistantsSupport staff as needed, including Speech and Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and Physical Therapists.
We proudly support children aged 3 to 5, including those who may have been turned away from other schools or who do not qualify for government funding through standardized testing but would benefit from extra support. We believe every child can succeed with the right guidance and resources.
Community involvement is key to our program. We look to partner with our community businesses and organizations who share our same values towards early education. Parents are actively engaged in various roles, from serving on the Board of Directors, volunteering on committees, to volunteering in classrooms and on field trips. Together, we create a supportive environment for all children.
Our goal is for each child to graduate as a confident learner, equipped with the skills they need to succeed throughout their lives.
Providing this high-quality early education requires significant investment. To keep our program affordable, we rely on fundraising efforts, including events, sales, and auctions. While we receive some support from Alberta Education, and Early Learning and Child Care, fluctuating enrollment and funding gaps can limit our ability to provide individualized support for all children who need it.
Your donation can make a real difference. It will help ensure that more children in our community have access to our program and receive the support they need to succeed. Every contribution, large or small, enables us to continue offering a transformative early education experience.
Thank you for helping us make a lasting impact on the lives of children in our community.
