Lotus Music is a Canadian charity bringing the joy of adaptive music to all through four pillars: a music school, community outreach, research, and teacher training. Lotus Music was founded in 2012 to meet a community need for music programs tailored to people with diverse learning needs. Our educational philosophy focuses on teaching to student strengths to build self-confidence in a positive learning environment based on respect for individual learning needs. Our teachers are passionate about developing the musical gifts and talents of students with all abilities and fostering a love of music and learning. By bringing together the different pillars of our organization, we bring music-making directly to the community, build capacity in the sector, and contribute to the landscape of adaptive music education in Canada and beyond.

We aim to be responsive to our families and community organizations when developing programs, striving to meet the evolving needs of our community. This has led to the development of many programs, including:

- Private and group music lessons

- Mini-music camps, March Break, and summer camps at low ratio

- Community music classes in partnership with group homes, day programs, and other fellow organizations

- Adaptive music classes in public and private schools

- Teacher training workshops

- Group classes such as a rock band and a choir
