Love Made Real Ministries (LMRM) became a registered charity in Canada on April 1, 2011. Our mission is to improve the quality of life to the impoverished in developing countries, both materially and spiritually.
Most of our activities have been in Central America, namely Guatemala. Over the years, Love Made Real has hosted 60 teams of volunteers from Canada and the USA. More recently, the charity also supports the work of a missionary couple in The Azores, Portugal.
Guatemala
In Guatemala, we currently work with Jorge and Maria Muñoz, who have a ministry called House of Hope (Casa Esperanza) in the village of Santiago, Sacatepéquez. Their hearts are to bring help to the orphans and the widows there. Love Made Real provides financial support for a feeding centre where 100 children and 60 widows and single mothers are registered.
When our teams are in-country, we also work on projects such as building new homes, replacing dirt floors with cement, installing wood stoves that are vented outside, building kitchens and bathrooms, and installing solar bottle lights to save on electrical costs. As well, our teams love to minister in prayer, to organize activities for the children, and to honour the mothers by setting them apart for special occasions.
More recently, Love Made Real has committed to come alongside Jorge and Maria to purchase a piece of land and to build a training facility and a feeding/community centre. The training facility portion of the vision will include a woodworking shop, sewing and weaving classes, and others as the Lord leads. If you wish to make a donation to this endeavor, please select the Guatemala Building Project fund.
The Azores, Portugal
Joe and Mony Moniz have a vision to bring the Good News of Jesus to the people of Rabo de Peixe on San Miguel Island, offering them new life in both spiritual and practical ways. Because Joe was born there and knows Portuguese, he is warmly received, and it is easy to minister and demonstrate the love of Jesus. They currently travel to the Azores twice a year and are ministering to the needs of several families.
