Since 1953, The Centre for Child Development has been helping children with special needs reach their potential. We started as a grass-roots group of parents cooperatively organizing transportation to therapy sessions in Vancouver. Through the decades, we’ve grown to a team of over 200 staff with expertise in providing a wide range of collaborative therapeutic services to more than 8,000 children each year. The Centre offers specialized multi-disciplinary services for children with special needs including: Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Communication Therapy, Recreation Therapy (fully accessible pool), Casting & Splinting, Feeding & Nutrition team, equipment customization, Early Years, Family Services, Key Workers, pediatric Psychology, Supported Child Development, Childcare, and Sophie's Place Child and Youth Advocacy Centre.
